5 Tips to help you look relaxed in your photos
South Asian weddings are a LOT of fun but they’re also very INTENSE and at times can be somewhat stressful. In some cases you might find yourself getting a bit stressed (if you’re managing everything on your own!). In most cases for weddings and portraits we love using a mix of prompts and direct poses so you get a mix of both posed and candids for your galleries.
Here’s 5 actionable tips to help you look relaxed in your photos.
Here are five tips that can help you look more relaxed in ‘posed’ photos:
- Take a deep breath: Before the photo is taken, take a deep breath and exhale slowly. This can help to relax your body and make you feel more comfortable in front of the camera.
- Shift your weight: Stand or sit with your weight distributed evenly between your feet or hips. This can help to avoid stiffness and make you look more relaxed and natural.
- Think happy thoughts: Try to think of something that makes you happy or brings a smile to your face. This can help you to feel more relaxed and natural in front of the camera. Take a moment to do this.
- Avoid forced smiles: A forced smile can make you look tense and uncomfortable. Instead, try to smile naturally by thinking of something that genuinely makes you happy.
- Relax your face and body: Try to relax your face and body by releasing any tension in your shoulders, jaw, or forehead. This can help you to look more natural and comfortable in front of the camera.
