Wedding Morning Self-Care
Wedding mornings can be C H A O T I C. Here’s some ways you can have a beautiful wedding morning and enjoy the moment with your close ones. The energy you have in the morning will truly carry you through the rest of your day.
- Have breakfast and stay hydrated! The easiest way to stay calm is if you’re well fed, why not order some beautiful platters ahead of time for you and your getting ready party? Another way to stay hydrated is to buy a cute water bottle ahead of time so you’re likely to drink more water, I’m not sure about the psychology of this BUT for some reason it worked really well for me HAHAH. I loved drinking more water especially when my water bottle was super cute.
- Get ready in a relatively clutter free environment, even though the rest of your house or getting area may be a bit of a mess, try and find a room or space which doesn’t have a whole lot of clutter. A cluttered space may make some people feel a little uneasy and stressed so if it’s a lovely clear space it makes not only a stress free experience for you, but also for your photographer!
- Pack your overnight bag, not the night before but TWO weeks before! The reason for this, your wedding week will be hectic as it is and you may not even pack all the right essentials in a bag when you’re running around looking for things, plus let’s help you relax and not run around on your wedding day!
- Play your favourite tunes!! We highly recommend starting with some slow jazz to get you started and then working your way upto some high tempo and beat styles, by the end of this you and your bridal party will be grooving like no tomorrow and your photographer would be so stoked to capture all this beautiful candid energy!
- Most importantly, surround yourself with people that bring the calm energy in the morning of your wedding.
- Start getting ready at least an hour before you think you need to, this gives you and your bridal party enough to have some good buffer time in case you can’t find your earrings or your tikka – let’s hope that doesn’t happen but it’s always good to plan for additional time!
Hope this helped you xx
